From apprentice to Head of IT & Digital Innovation: Inamullah Qayyum's success story at HAGER

This quote reflects Inamullah Qayyum’s impressive career at HAGER, which began in September 2014 when he started his training as an IT specialist for system integration. A decade later, on May 1, 2024, he will take up the position of Head of IT & Digital Innovation position. This period was characterized by significant milestones and steady personal growth.

Inamullah’s career is characterized by several key projects that contributed significantly to the development of both his personal career and the company. These included the insourcing of the IT department, which enabled HAGER to respond more quickly and flexibly to technological changes, and the migration of all IT systems to the cloud, which made data processing much more efficient. Another important step was the introduction of mobile working, which made work processes more flexible. Most recently, his focus has been on promoting the use of AI and automation in order to further optimize business processes.

In addition to constant technological innovation, Inamullah has also built up a first-class internal IT department at HAGER over the past few years. He placed great emphasis on ensuring that the IT team was perfectly aligned with HAGER’s requirements through special internal training and development programs.

After graduating as an IT specialist for system integration (2014-2017), he earned a bachelor’s degree in business informatics (2017-2021) and is currently working on his master’s degree in IT management, which is expected to be completed in summer 2024. These academic qualifications have enabled him to deepen his technical skills and sharpen his understanding of the strategic requirements of IT management.

The focus is on the continuous development of existing business processes and the introduction of the latest technologies. In addition to his professional development at HAGER, Inamullah is also considering further academic goals, such as an MBA or a dissertation, after obtaining his Master’s degree. These steps will allow him to further hone his leadership skills and deepen his expertise in strategic business areas.
