2.1 In general, you can visit our website without leaving any personal data, e.g. if you only want to find out about HAGER. We only learn the name of your internet service provider, the website from which you visit us and the web pages you visit on our website. However, no personal data is transmitted on your part and this information is stored separately from any personal data that may be transmitted.

There is no link between personal data in the application and the accessing IP address.

2.3 In certain cases, however, we need your name and address as well as other details so that we can provide the requested services. This additional personal data is only collected and stored if you provide this information voluntarily, for example as part of an inquiry, registration or application as an employee. Such data will be forwarded via our provider in a secure environment to us or a service provider commissioned by us and bound to confidentiality and used by HAGER to the extent necessary in each case and then deleted, provided that we no longer require the data within the scope of a contract with you, there are no statutory retention obligations or you have expressly consented to the further use of the data.

  • in accordance with Art. 18 GDPR, to demand the restriction of the processing of your personal data if the accuracy of the data is disputed by you, the processing is unlawful but you refuse to delete it and we no longer need the data, but you need it to assert, exercise or defend legal claims or you have lodged an objection to the processing in accordance with Art. 21 GDPR;
  • in accordance with Art. 20 GDPR, to receive your personal data that you have provided to us in a structured, commonly used and machine-readable format or to request that it be transmitted to another controller

4 Right of objection

If your personal data is processed on the basis of legitimate interests in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 lit. f GDPR, you have the right to object to the processing of your personal data in accordance with Art. 21 GDPR, provided that there are reasons for this arising from your particular situation or the objection is directed against direct advertising. In the latter case, you have a general right to object, which will be implemented by us without specifying a particular situation.

If you wish to exercise your right of revocation or objection, simply send an email to datenschutz@hager-consulting.com or

5 Contact form

There is a contact form on our website which can be used to contact us electronically. If a user takes advantage of this option, the data entered in the input mask will be transmitted to us and saved. The legal basis is Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 lit. f GDPR).

6 Consent to receive our newsletter

Subscribe to the newsletter

If you subscribe to our newsletter, we will regularly send you the latest information and offers on our products and services by e-mail.

To subscribe to our e-mail newsletter, in addition to your consent, we only need your name to address you personally and your e-mail address to which the newsletter is to be sent. You also have the option of indicating certain interests so that we can take these into account when selecting the newsletter content relevant to you.

In order to use your data for sending the newsletter, we require your consent, which we ask for separately when you register for our newsletter.

If you want to read the content again, it reads as follows:

“Yes, I would like to receive regular tailored information by e-mail about new products from the xxx range and services from the xxx range from xxx. The information will be selected on the basis of the data I provided when registering for the newsletter. I consent to my email address, my name and the interests I indicated when registering for the newsletter being used for this purpose.
This consent can be revoked at any time for the future by unsubscribing from the newsletter by clicking on the link at the end of the newsletter or by sending an email to the contact details provided in the privacy policy.”

Data processing when ordering our newsletter is carried out on the legal basis of Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 lit. a) GDPR in conjunction with your consent to receive the newsletter.
We store your consent for verification and documentation purposes for up to three years at the end of the year after the last newsletter was sent to you or your declaration of revocation. The individual newsletter e-mails are only stored temporarily during dispatch; they are not stored for longer.

Registration confirmation and verification of your e-mail address

For security reasons, we use the so-called double opt-in procedure and logging to register for our e-mail newsletter: After registering for our newsletter, you will receive an activation e-mail to the e-mail address you have provided. You will only receive the desired e-mail newsletter once you have confirmed your registration by clicking on a link contained in the e-mail. This is to ensure that only you, as the owner of the e-mail address provided, can register for the newsletter. If you do not confirm your registration within 14 days of receiving the activation e-mail, your newsletter registration will be automatically deleted for security reasons and you will have to register again, which you can do at any time.

Newsletter unsubscribe

If you no longer wish to receive e-mail newsletters from us, you can unsubscribe from our newsletter at any time by clicking on the unsubscribe link at the end of each newsletter e-mail.

7 Data security

HAGER takes technical and organizational security measures to protect the data from accidental or intentional manipulation, loss, destruction or access by unauthorized persons. Our security measures are continuously improved in line with technological developments.

8 SSL or TLS encryption

This site uses SSL or TLS encryption for security reasons and to protect the transmission of confidential content, such as orders or inquiries that you send to us as the site operator. You can recognize an encrypted connection by the fact that the address line of the browser changes from “http://” to “https://” and by the lock symbol in your browser line.
If SSL or TLS encryption is activated, the data you transmit to us cannot be read by third parties.

9 Storage of cookies

9.1 In some areas of the website, HAGER uses so-called cookies in order to be able to provide you with our services in a more individualized manner. Cookies are identifiers that a web server can send to your computer to identify it for the duration of your visit.

9.2 It is generally possible to display cookies in the browser (e.g. in Mozilla Firefox under “Extras –> Settings –> Privacy –> Show cookies”). You can also set your browser so that it informs you about the placement of cookies.

9.3 You can prevent the storage of user behavior by blocking the setting of cookies by this domain (http://www.gaulyadvisors.com) in your browser, e.g. by setting up an exception in the browser (e.g. in the Firefox browser). If necessary, please refer to the program help to find out how you can set this up in your browser.

9.4 Of course, you can also delete the above-mentioned cookies in your browser on a case-by-case basis or periodically in order to delete tracking information.

10 Borlabs Cookie

This website uses Borlabs Cookie, which sets a technically necessary cookie (borlabs-cookie) to store your cookie consent. Borlabs Cookie does not process any personal data. The Borlabs cookie stores the consent you gave when you entered the website. If you wish to revoke this consent, simply delete the cookie in your browser. When you re-enter/reload the website, you will be asked for your cookie consent again.

11 Google Analytics

We may use Google Analytics, a web analysis service of Google LLC (“Google”), after your consent (Borlabs cookie window; button at the bottom left of the homepage) on the basis of your consent in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a., Art. 7 GDPR). Google uses cookies. The information generated by the cookie about the use of the online offer by the user is usually transmitted to a Google server in the USA and stored there.

Google will use this information on our behalf to evaluate the use of our online offer by users, to compile reports on the activities within this online offer and to provide us with further services associated with the use of this online offer and the use of the Internet. Pseudonymous user profiles can be created from the processed data.

We only use Google Analytics with activated IP anonymization. This means that the IP address of the user is shortened by Google within member states of the European Union or in other contracting states of the Agreement on the European Economic Area. Only in exceptional cases will the full IP address be transmitted to a Google server in the USA and truncated there.

The IP address transmitted by the user’s browser will not be merged with other Google data. Users can prevent the storage of cookies by setting their browser software accordingly; users can also prevent Google from collecting the data generated by the cookie and relating to their use of the online offer and from processing this data by Google by downloading and installing the browser plug-in available at the following link: http://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=de.

Further information on the use of data by Google, setting and objection options, can be found in Google’s privacy policy (https://policies.google.com/technologies/ads) and in the settings for the display of advertisements by Google (https://adssettings.google.com/authenticated).

Users’ personal data is deleted or anonymized after 14 months.

12 Online presence in social media

We maintain online presences within social networks and platforms in order to be able to communicate with the customers, interested parties and users active there and to be able to inform them about our services there.

We would like to point out that user data can be processed outside of the European Union. This can result in risks for the user because, for example, the enforcement of the user’s rights could be made more difficult. With regard to US providers who are certified under the PrivacyShield, we would like to point out that they undertake to comply with the data protection standards of the EU.

Furthermore, user data is usually processed for market research and advertising purposes. For example, usage profiles can be created from usage behavior and the resulting interests of users. The usage profiles can in turn be used, for example, to place advertisements inside and outside the platforms that presumably correspond to the interests of the user. For these purposes, cookies are usually stored on the users’ computers, in which the usage behavior and the interests of the users are stored. Furthermore, data can also be stored in the usage profiles independently of the devices used by the users (especially if the users are members of the respective platforms and are logged in to them).

The processing of the personal data of the users takes place on the basis of our legitimate interests in effective information of the users and communication with the users in accordance with Article 6 Paragraph 1 lit. f GDPR. If the users are asked by the respective providers of the platforms for their consent to the data processing described above, the legal basis for the processing is Article 6 Paragraph 1 Letter a., Article 7 GDPR.

For a detailed description of the respective processing and the possibility of objection (opt-out), we refer to the following linked information from the providers.

Also in the case of requests for information and the assertion of user rights, we would like to point out that these can be asserted most effectively with the providers. Only the providers have access to the users’ data and can take appropriate measures and provide information directly. If you still need help, you can contact us.
