A question of attitude
Climate protection concerns everyone. HAGER is also aware of its responsibility and is committed to reducing the impact on the global climate. We offset unavoidable CO2 emissions through effective sustainability of climate protection projects. We work in the ‘Green Office’, where the reduction of plastic and paper, recycling, CO2-minimised business trips and the sensitisation of our employees to the topic of environmental protection are a matter of course.
With a net-zero balance sheet by 2030, we have our sights set on our next goal of becoming the first climate-neutral HR consultancy in Germany, making us both a pioneer and a role model.
Environmentally conscious behaviour
For us, reducing our ecological footprint does not just mean saving unnecessary consumption and therefore resources. Alternative technologies, regionality and certified products are equally important building blocks for HAGER. Our commitment also includes global climate protection projects that will also benefit future generations.

HAGER supports reforestation projects and invests in active environmental protection in less privileged regions of the world.

- Green electricity: We use 100 per cent genuine green electricity. We minimise heating energy and water consumption in our buildings and offices. HAGER continuously invests in modern, energy-saving technology.
- Travelling sustainably: The most environmentally sustainable business trip is one that takes place virtually. We avoid flights within Germany and instead promote rail travel and the use of public transport instead of taxis. Where it makes sense, meetings and gatherings are planned flexibly in hybrid form.
- Climate-friendly commuting: public transport, e-mobility, cycling: a more sustainable journey to work makes a difference overall. We can save further resources through flexible working (flex office).
- Paperless office: We work almost completely paperless. If anything, we use recycled paper. This is not only good for the environment. Toner particles and toner dust in the air are practically non-existent and there is no need to dispose of empty cartridges. Our shipping is climate-neutral.
- Local purchasing: Our teams share HAGER’s commitment to sustainable consumption. When purchasing products and services, we pay attention to fair regional suppliers. Whether it’s plastic-free packaging material or fruit baskets for our employees

Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR)
HAGER has already successfully implemented several Corporate Social Responsibility (CRS) programmes and initiatives in terms of sustainable management. Others will follow in the near future.
People around the world are looking to companies with the expectation of recognising a positive change towards greater environmental awareness. Every signal and voluntary, non-profit-orientated action emanating from companies is therefore important. HAGER does not communicate empty PR statements, but lets actions speak for themselves in the area of social and ecological responsibility.
