HAGER Career with a child

What were the motivations that ultimately led to your career at HAGER Executive Consulting?

I felt very welcome from the very first interview I had at HAGER. The whole process was very structured and always at eye level – that impressed me a lot. I also saw the opportunity for me personally to start my career with a successful and professional company.

How has your career developed at HAGER?

After completing my master’s degree in educational science with a focus on adult education/personnel/recruiting, I joined HAGER Executive Consulting as a consultant in 2014. In 2016 I was promoted to Senior Consultant and at the beginning of 2020 I continued my career with a promotion to my current management position. Here I lead a small team in the Software business unit and am responsible for the acquisition and support of long-standing existing customers as well as for the processing of mandates.

Maternity leave – how was the return to work?

My daughter was born in 2018. After a year of parental leave, I returned to my old environment and resumed my previous area of responsibility with slightly reduced hours. During my parental leave, I was in close contact and exchange with my team, the entire workforce and the management. After my return, I experienced a lot of flexibility and freedom at HAGER. Today, I am happy and proud to be able to balance both my child and my career in my role as a “working mom”.

Would you choose this path again?

Definitely. HAGER Executive Consulting offers me everything I could wish for as a mother who still wants to make a career start. Flexible working time models, attractive career opportunities, freedom and a lot of understanding for unplannable situations, such as when a child unexpectedly falls ill. I also find the really high level of appreciation at HAGER Executive Consulting to be unique and doesn’t let me doubt my path for a second.

What do you wish for your further personal career at HAGER Executive Consulting?

In my own role as a manager, I hope that I can offer as many colleagues as possible exactly the same opportunities and possibilities that I have experienced myself.

Arms boom instead of car crisis? Berlin’s industrial fantasy shattered by reality

Germany’s industry is caught in a downward spiral: car manufacturers in crisis, crumbling supply chains, thousands of jobs hanging in the balance. So can the special arms programme save the industry from further decline?

The Due Diligence Private Equity Still Gets Wrong: Human Capital

Most due diligences can slice the numbers a thousand ways. Markets, models, margins – all dissected surgical precision. But the one factor that decides whether any of it turns into performance — the people expected to deliver — is still often checked last, or lightly, or not at all.

Here’s the quiet contradiction in private equity: Financial DD predicts potential. Human Capital DD predicts reality. And the gap between the two is where value is most often lost.
