HAGER Executive Consulting cooperates with the University of Applied Management (HAM) in Ismaning

HAGER cooperation with HAM University of Applied Sciences

Theory and practice efficiently dovetailed: HAGER Executive Consulting and the University of Applied Management (HAM) in Ismaning near Munich have launched their cooperation at the start of the new semester. This means that prospective economists can complete their practical training at the consulting firm as part of their part-time Bachelor’s or Master’s degree course. The agreement was signed by Prof. Dr. Ulf Martensmeier, Sales Director and Professor of Sports Management, Marketing & Sales at HAM, and Ruth Maag, Head of Operations at HAGER.

The mission is clear: the combination of teaching theoretical principles and a strong practical component is intended to improve the quality of teaching. “I am very much looking forward to a good collaboration with HAGER Executive Consulting. We have already been in contact on a personal level for many years,” explains Martensmeier. “We are striving to become a national leader in teaching and practical partnerships with companies whose activities are thematically relevant to the courses on offer are more than just an excellent idea – they are essential!” In future, Bachelor’s and Master’s students of economics will also be able to acquire their practical training at HAGER.

HAGER has been investing in training for many years

HAGER has been investing in the training of students at its headquarters in Frankfurt am Main for many years. This year, for the first time, they have also employed a student on a dual study program at the Munich office, which opened in 2019. The company attaches great importance to involving future junior staff in customer projects at an early stage. This enables students to take on responsibility and experience success.

The cooperation with HAM represents HAGER Executive Consulting’s third collaboration with universities. Since 2012, HAGER has been a practice partner of accadis University in Bad Homburg, near the company headquarters in Frankfurt am Main. Since 2017, it has been cooperating with the FOM University of Applied Sciences for Economics and Management in the field of business informatics.

HAGER offers apprenticeships with IHK qualification for prospective office management clerks and IT specialists for system integration at the Frankfurt am Main site.

“We currently employ almost 110 people, everyone knows everyone else and can always rely on the help and experience of colleagues. We live a culture based on teamwork, mutual support, respectful interaction and fun at work,” emphasizes Martin Krill, Managing Partner of HAGER.

In addition, HAGER was recognized as a ‘Fair Company‘ in 2019 and is committed to ethics in the world of work and greater fairness towards young academic talent. “We want to give students the chance to get to know our company through internships. At the same time, we want to get them excited about the profession of HR consultant,” says Martin Krill. “In this way, both sides benefit, the students grow through clearly defined tasks and goals and, ideally, we can recruit young talent for the future.”
