HAGER named 5-star personnel consultancy in Germany by WirtschaftsWoche in seven categories

We recently received the good news that the leading business magazine WirtschaftsWoche has listed us among the best personnel consultants in 2020 for the fourth time in a row in this year’s ranking. HAGER Executive Consulting was recognized as one of the best industry professionals in personnel consulting in six sectors, each with 5*****. These included IT, digitalization, mechanical engineering (including industry and metal), financial services, real estate and consulting/professional services.

Exclusive study by WirtschaftsWoche and Christel Gade

The renowned magazine WirtschaftsWoche commissioned this study on the recruitment consultant market in collaboration with Christel Gade, Professor at the IUBH International University of Applied Sciences Bad Honnef and an expert on the headhunting industry. Around 2,600 HR decision-makers from German companies completed the specially developed questionnaires between July and November. Over 890 personnel consultancies were assessed. Among other things, they indicated how satisfied they were with various recruitment consultancies. They awarded stars for good or excellent services. This anonymous survey was supported by the DFK (Association for Specialists and Executives) and the BDU (Federal Association of German Management Consultants).

Ralf Hager, founder and Managing Director of HAGER Executive Consulting, commented on this award: “We would like to thank our clients and candidates as well as our entire team for this repeated award. This once again reflects our own standards as a sophisticated executive search consultancy.”

The 2020 financial year was heavily influenced by the global pandemic. This was – and still is – noticeable in the willingness of suitable key figures to change. For many companies, high-quality support from executive search consultancies is therefore essential.

“With our 110-strong team and our firmly established process excellence, we are able to meet the demands placed on professional recruitment consultancies in an outstanding manner. I am all the more pleased that we have now taken a firm place among the best personnel consultancies in Germany in WirtschaftsWoche’s exclusive ranking,” summarizes Ralf Hager.

Arms boom instead of car crisis? Berlin’s industrial fantasy shattered by reality

Germany’s industry is caught in a downward spiral: car manufacturers in crisis, crumbling supply chains, thousands of jobs hanging in the balance. So can the special arms programme save the industry from further decline?

The Due Diligence Private Equity Still Gets Wrong: Human Capital

Most due diligences can slice the numbers a thousand ways. Markets, models, margins – all dissected surgical precision. But the one factor that decides whether any of it turns into performance — the people expected to deliver — is still often checked last, or lightly, or not at all.

Here’s the quiet contradiction in private equity: Financial DD predicts potential. Human Capital DD predicts reality. And the gap between the two is where value is most often lost.
