Unconscious Bias<\/h2>\n

What does this actually mean and what exactly do we mean by it? The English term bias can be translated as a cognitive distortion, among other things. This includes, for example, automatic stereotypes, prejudices, biases or other erroneous interpretations when perceiving, remembering and making judgements. As biases usually occur unconsciously, they are referred to as unconscious bias.<\/div>\n

Unconscious perceptions, judgements and decisions are always relevant for us in everyday management and recruiting. The way we judge our environment and the people in it very much determines our behaviour. Although unconscious perception enables us to react quickly to our environment, it is also susceptible to errors.<\/div>\n
