7 personal questions Daniel Kutschenko.

How do you start the day?

As a family man - our two boys are one and five years old - I discovered the morning hours for myself.
My "me time" begins Monday to Friday at 6 a.m. - when everyone else is still sleeping peacefully - with meditation, journaling and jogging alternating with fitness. This is how I put myself in a positive attitude and am ready for whatever the day brings.
Then an oat milk shake, get the kids ready and walk to the nearby day care center. We continue by car to the office, 20 minutes away - for the first calls or podcasts, such as IT news or Steingart's morning briefing - where the first espresso and the morning team meeting are waiting.

What would your colleagues say about you?

That I'm mostly in a good mood, genuinely interested in them, and "on the field."

Where there is light there is also shadow. What annoys others about you?

That I always prefer to tackle problems and to-dos immediately, if only to get them out of my head. My follow-ups can be annoying at times.

What is your favorite question in interviews that you ask candidates for clients?

I see it as a great privilege to immerse myself in the world of my interlocutors with confidence. Accordingly, I like to ask in interviews about the personal recipe for success of my counterpart. It also allows me to better assess whether the person and company I'm recruiting for can be successful together...and I'm always learning new things along the way.

Why are you a recruitment consultant?

I see my role as "marriage counselor for managers". At its core, it is about understanding people and organizations, and it fulfills me to literally "bring together what belongs together".

Do you have a quirk in private?

I always meticulously stock the fridge (whether at home or at work) according to a specific system: according to categories, best-before dates and with front-facing packaging. My professional background is in consumer goods marketing and certainly cannot be denied entirely...

What three things would you not want to do without?

My family, my running shoes and my smartphone - just because of the podcasts 😉
